Thanks to Road King Jim Hair for outlining the roads,
including little known cuts.
READ Jim's appropriate concerns/remarks below THAN
SCROLL DOWN:
The Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas have some of the best
roads to ride in the country. Any rider who rides these roads needs to be aware
of the many potential hazards they present. Limited sight distance, trees and
shrubs growing next to the road (good hiding for deer which are numerous),
gravel in curves, decreasing radius curves, off camber curves, slow vehicles,
large rocks and ledges next to the road.
If you chose to ride at speeds approaching the limits
of the road you are on, please do so only after pre-riding that section of road.
Most of the roads are in good shape with limited problems for a good
rider BUT conditions can change daily. After you have pre-ridden a particular
section you will be aware of what hazards may exist.
Enjoy some of the best roads, scenery, low traffic volume and friendly people in
the U.S.
Most of the best roads are south of I-44 in Missouri
and north of a line from the junction of Hwy. 71 and 278 in western Ark. to Hot
Springs, then to Little Rock, then to Pocahontas in North Eastern Ark.
